Westlake Village Civic Association - Subdivision
The Westlake Village subdivision has a very active homeowners association dedicated to the preservation of our home values. We can boast about having one of the largest “privately owned” parks in northern Pinellas - 30 acres. Our 4 illuminated tennis courts and a nearly one mile paved walking path, in our wooded park, provide an active lifestyle for all age levels. Plus, we have a 3-acre working citrus grove ready for resident’s citrus picking and a 144,000 gallon swimming pool. Our common areas are well maintained with an underground sprinkler system and a professional lawn service. This is an exclusive residential community of single-family homes and condominium residences abundantly forested, with rolling hills located in a “non-evacuation” (hurricanes and high water) location. We are conveniently situated close to shopping (< 1 mile), Gulf beaches (< 2 miles), golf courses (< 5 miles), and Lake Tarpon (< 4 miles fresh water). Each single family home site is on at least 1/3 acre and some 3/4 acre lots. Multiple builders make this subdivision unique and varied for a pleasant curb appeal. If you crave room to breathe, to get out under the trees and do family things together, to climb hills, to ride bicycles without worrying about the traffic, to hike, to experience nature face-to-face, Westlake Village is just for people like you and your family.

Westlake Village subdivision is located on the west side of Belcher Rd between Nebraska and Alderman roads. To locate our subdivision, go to an Internet mapping service and put in the address of our clubhouse, at 810 Village Way, Palm Harbor, FL 34683.

Dog Walking
Gripe For All To Read wvcaoffice writes "Every now and then residents have to be reminded of the way they walk their dogs. In accordance with Pinellas County Code Enforcement, all owners of dogs that are being walked outdoors on streets, in parks, on trails etc. must be leashed. If your dog(s) are not on leads, you are not in compliance. You can be and will be issued a summons if someone reports you. "

Residents of Westlake Village
Recognizng & respectng beliefs of others Carrol writes "We are appealing to all residents to work together to make our community the best it can be. We have many residents with a wealth of knowledge that could be used to help make our community a welcoming, beautiful place to live. Sadly, some residents choose to do the opposite and create conflict; something we cannot understand. We attend the monthly board meetings so we can "stay in the know" and make sure we have all the FACTS. We listened to many discussions on the playground being extremely unsafe and the inability for the association to obtain a loan. We approached the board and offered to provide the necessary funds to obtain a safe playground that should last for many years to come.

This was done only for the children of Westlake Village, including our own grandchildren who are also residents here, and our actions came from our hearts. A "Promisory Note" was signed and there is nothing in there stating that the playground was collateral for the money. We want you all to know that if the note did go into default, we would NEVER remove the playground even if we could.

Since then we have heard nothing but negativity about the playground; mainly from two WLV residents. We are asking you to stop listening to the gossip and get the facts."

Playground Installation Pictures
Web Links Here is a link to the pictures of the installation of the Playground equipment by some very generous residents at Westlake Village. They gave of their time and effort to make this project a success. Please thank these individuals if you see them in and around our subdivision...
